Jerry Rypstra, May 15, 1928 -
October 21, 2010
Jerry Rypstra, beloved husband of Catharina (Tina), went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 21, 2010.
Born May 15, 1928, Jerry was a twin, the third of 17 children of Jelle Rijpstra and Grietje Rijpstra Stork in Britsum, The Netherlands.
- Lived in The Hague for 20 years
- Emigrated to Canada on May 15, 1950
- Emigrated to the USA in 1965
- Married to his beloved Catharina on July 12, 1953.
Jerry was a painter by trade with a passion for art. For him, the best of both worlds was working at Frontier Village Amusement Park.
Survived by his wife, four children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
We share in the grief of the Rypstra family and the hope we all have of being together in Christ one day.
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

Jerry's testimony:
"...the different places we emigrated to. We finally made it here and the Lord has blessed us so much. I am from a family of 18 and I was the second child so we had a lot of things to do before we grew up and I am so thankful that the Lord has helped me have everything that I needed, more than I could pray for. That's why I'm singing this song, which says he's so good to me, he leads me and he guides me."
