Church News and Events

Today our children continue their presentation of “The Easter Tree”, a series of mini-plays for Lent.  We would like to give each child the opportunity to hang an ornament on our Easter Tree some time before Easter.  If you wish to do this, be at church by 9:10 am.  If your child would also enjoy reading a short part in one of our presentations, please contact Grace.

Poster Boards: Please read and reflect on the posters summarizing the six messages on core values given by Pastor Al.  They are located in both the narthex of the sanctuary and the social hall.

Your church Council is currently accepting nominations for the position of Elder.  Please give qualified names to your Elder or to Agnes in the church office.

A Teacher is urgently needed for Kids’ Life III (grades 4-6) on April 2 and 9.   The lessons are enjoyable to teach and easy to prepare.  Please contact Grace.  We will not be able to hold class on those days if we do not have a teacher.

Next Sunday, March 26- Attention all who are involved with Praise Team, Sound, and Visual Booth:  There will be a short meeting (grab your coffee first!) directly after the church service on March 26 to discuss operational changes.  Please plan to attend: we will meet in the Fireside Room.

Revised Volunteer Schedules for March and April are in some mail folders.

Also offering information for 2005 has been placed in the mail folders.  Please check your mail folders for this important information.

You are cordially invited to join San Jose New Hope CRC in celebrating God’s mission in North America.  Joyce Suh, wife of Rev Gil Suh will be commissioned for work as Educational Mission Coordinator, a position working with secular campus ministries for CRC Home Missions.  Home Missions Ministry Development Director, Dr. Bill Van Groningen, will speak on “The Mission of Holiness—The Dominion of Prayer” (Genesis 1:26, James 5:16).  Come for praise, celebration, challenge and communion with your brothers and sisters in Christ.  The service will be held April 8, 2006, 6 pm at our church.

Please have any bulletin announcements for this coming Sunday into the office by Thursday evening at the latest.
